Rest day in San Salvador de Jujuy

Today is a rest day in San Salvador de Jujuy. I slept longer and had breakfast outside in a café, reading a local newspaper. Then I had a walk around town, which was pretty empty on a Sunday morning.

Since Tucumán, I now did another 524km, which makes a total of 2296km. But from now on I will really start climbing up - to more than 3500m until the border with Bolivia, which is now less than 300km away.
